About Me

Learn a bit more about who I am, what I stand for, and what I can do!

Hi, I am Noah Taylor, a film enthusiast, recent graduate, and aspiring digital media fanatic.

My passion for all things film and photography began at a young age, having been bought a point-and-shoot camera for my 8th birthday. Since then, I have grown an understanding and knowledge-base for most facets of the filmmaking and photography process.

I began a YouTube channel in 2013 where, ever since, I have uploaded videos ranging from school assessments to travel videos and other short experimental films. Alongside this, I took photos and began to learn how to use more advanced cameras and editing techniques.

Come 2018 when I began my degree in film, I had acquired quite a range of valuable skills in camera work, post-production editing and everything in between. This allowed me to, at the beginning of 2019, be hired at BOQ as a digital media coordinator, where I have worked ever since.

This opportunity has allowed me to expand upon my skills in creating corporate videos, detailing team and individual profiles, upcoming promotions and introducing GIF's and digital media content to share news across the bank both internally and externally.

Over my years studying, I have built up a wealth of knowledge of the post-production workflow. From data wrangling to the final cut being exported, I have had a go at every step. Mainly specialising in editing, I have taken upon other roles that include colourist and postproduction audio.

From iMovie on an iPad as the beginning, to then Final Cut Pro X, now using Premiere Pro, and with experience in Avid Media Composer, I have traversed the realms of post-producing editing software. I am highly competent in using the Adobe suite, as well as being well practised in sending projects from software to software, ensuring colouring, sound and the final cut are all produced to their highest quality.

My last semester of university saw me undertake the role of onset audio recordist, as well as post-sound, further expanding my knowledge base in postproduction and unlocking a new skillset in audio recording and engineering using Avid's Pro Tools.

Within the last 10 years, I have gained substantial knowledge in using both audio and visual capture equipment. From cinema camera's to high-end audio recording equipment including an 8 channel audio mixer, a wireless lapel and boom microphone and timecode sync devices I am more than capable of using smaller systems to capture and edit high-quality content.

Having a fascination for all things technology, I have also gained experience in the area of small drone operation (since I was 15).

2020 was the year we all didn't expect...
Beginning by having to create a short-form documentary series under house lockdowns and ending with a restriction to house capacities, my final year of studies was nothing short of a challenge.

But through it all I was able to produce a high-quality drama end-slate, using both my life experiences and skills learned over my years of education.

With the experience I have gained through the last 12 years of my life; through schooling, university and self-teaching I am confident in reaching out to the film industry as a professional, and kick-starting my career as a creative.
The Programs I am highly proficient in include:

-Adobe Photoshop
-Adobe Lightroom
-Adobe Illustrator
-Adobe Premiere Pro
-Adobe After Effects
-Avid Pro Tools
-Davinci Resolve
